Even with help, finishing off that Mexican Funnel Cake took a long while, it's huge
Ok, so the Fair has started and everywhere you go there’s the delicious scent of something wonderful cooking.
So on opening day, with all the TV stations around, all the vendors were more than happy to help them show case their new stuff, and once they finished their coverage, we totally pigged out. We, as in the reporters, photogs, kids that passed by and went Ooh!! then participated in the live shots, their moms and of course, me.
Thanks to Chicken Charlie’s deep fried smores I kept as hyper and up beat as I normally do, despite the fact I was at the grounds since around 4:30 a.m.
Ok, so I tried the Sweet Potato Fries from the Spud Shack, and their Corn –like 2 or 3 cobs during the course of the day-, the Australian Battered Potatoes –half the bucket-, I also jumped into the Mexican Funnel Cake. Man, it took us like for ever to finish that one off, and I wasn’t eating it by myself!
Also tried the Veggie Buffalo Wings, which I stand corrected, the potato wedges are not battered, their socked in several kinds of chilies and then grilled, then the guys at the Spud Shack put some crumbled blue cheese on top…really yummy.
Oh, and also tried the Nachos and Onion Rings from those guys on the Avenue across the Turf Club…can’t remember off the top of my head.
Jorge Cruise is going to kill me when he finds out all the stuff I’ve been eating, I was doing so good…. I actually did the Belly Fat challenge back in November, and it worked, lost 20 pounds, that hopefully I won’t gain back during the Fair with all the delicious things around, but as I said in the beginning, thank God we walk a lot…and tomorrow at the Los Tucanes de Tijuana concert, I’ll be shaking my bon-bon during the entire thing!
Ajúa!!!
